How can access to medical oxygen in low and middle income countries be accelerated?

Better Futures CoLab was born out of an understanding that you can't answer big systemic questions like these with single solutions and single actors. Complex challenges require systemic approaches, with intentional activity and investment at multiple levels.
As a post-pandemic world begins to think about how it might ’build resilience’ against crises, we believe a new set of approaches is required. Approaches that are collaborative, inclusive and long-term, and which can adapt to ever-changing needs.
Because fostering collaboration is hard and difficult to grasp, long-term impact is hard to imagine, and linear work planning is often the default option; many current approaches rely heavily on top-down, reactive interventions. As a result, they’re unable to offer the scale of change that the world needs.
Better Futures CoLab is a platform that brings together the brightest players to incubate futures that everyone can have a stake in.
Our ultimate ambition is to create extraordinary resilience against shocks to our supply chains, health systems, climate and ecosystem; and we believe that no single entity, funder or sector can address the next big challenges of our time.
Who we are
Better Futures CoLab is a platform of programmes, delivered by a different constellation of partners and funders who bring the best of their worlds to do each challenge justice.
Right now we are incubating Oxygen CoLab and Vaccine Data CoLab, delivered by Brink and DT Global and funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
Our ambition is to apply the CoLab model towards further challenges, in partnership with other progressive partners and funders who care about working on what the world needs most.
